Community Guidelines

Rules for discussion within courses on Lesso. Help us keep the platform great for everyone.

Last updated: March 2026

The Short Version

Be helpful, be honest, be respectful. Engage with ideas, not people. If you wouldn't say it in a professional setting, don't post it here.

What's Welcome

  • Thoughtful questions and answers related to course content.
  • Sharing relevant personal experience or examples.
  • Constructive feedback on lessons or concepts.
  • Respectful debate and discussion of ideas.
  • Reporting issues or errors in course content.

What's Not Allowed

  • Harassment and bullying — targeting, threatening, or intimidating other users.
  • Hate speech — content that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Spam — repetitive, off-topic, or unsolicited promotional messages.
  • Commercial solicitation — advertising your products or services without the creator's permission.
  • Doxxing — sharing personal information about other users without their consent.
  • Illegal content — anything that violates UK law.
  • Plagiarism — posting content that is not your own work without attribution.
  • Impersonation — pretending to be another user, creator, or Lesso staff.

Creator Moderation Rights

Course creators have moderation rights within their own course communities. They may remove comments, warn users, or request that Lesso suspend users who disrupt their community. Lesso staff have moderation rights across the entire platform.

Reporting Violations

If you see content that violates these guidelines, email hello@lesso.app with a description of the issue and, where possible, a link to the content. We aim to respond within 2 business days.

Consequences

Violations are handled as follows, though we reserve the right to skip directly to a permanent ban for serious violations:

  • First violation: warning and content removal.
  • Second violation: temporary suspension (7–30 days depending on severity).
  • Third violation or serious first violation: permanent ban.

Banned users lose access to all subscribed courses without refund for the remaining billing period. This does not affect your statutory rights under our Refund Policy.
