Creator Agreement

For each payment received for your course(s), whether a one-time purchase or a monthly subscription payment:

• You receive 85% of gross course revenue.
• Lesso retains 15% as a platform fee, from which we cover payment processing fees (Stripe charges approximately 3.4% + 30p per transaction), affiliate commissions, and platform operating costs.

Example: A student pays $29 for your course (one-time or one month of a subscription). You receive $24.65. Lesso retains $4.35, from which Stripe fees (~$1.29), affiliate commission (if applicable), and operating costs are covered.

• Payouts are handled by Stripe Connect. Once your payout account is approved and onboarded, your 85% share of each sale is transferred to your Stripe account automatically at the time of payment.
• Stripe pays out from your Stripe account to your bank on a payout schedule we configure with Stripe, currently monthly.
• Sales are priced in USD. If your bank account uses a different currency, Stripe converts the funds at its prevailing exchange rate when the payout is made.
• You can publish and sell a paid course before your payout account is approved and onboarded. Those sales are held by Lesso rather than transferred, and are paid out to your Stripe account in a batch as soon as your account is ready, including any balance that built up beforehand.

Publishing and selling a paid course does not require payout approval. To actually receive your share, you must apply for monetization from your dashboard and, once approved, complete Stripe's onboarding. Stripe collects and verifies your identity and bank details directly; Lesso never sees or stores your bank details. Monetization is available to creators in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Union.

If a sale is refunded or becomes subject to a chargeback, we may reverse the corresponding 85% share from your Stripe account balance. We reserve the right to withhold or reverse payouts if we suspect fraudulent activity, pending investigation. If fraud is confirmed, we may terminate your account and forfeit unpaid earnings.

You retain full intellectual property ownership of all content you create and publish on Lesso.

By publishing content on Lesso, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to: host, store, display, and distribute your content to your subscribers; reproduce excerpts of your content for platform marketing and promotional purposes (e.g. course previews, social media); and sub-licence these rights to service providers operating on our behalf.

This licence is non-exclusive; you may publish the same content elsewhere.

We may use screenshots, excerpts, and descriptions of your course for marketing purposes. We will not use your content in a way that misrepresents it or damages your reputation.

You may terminate this agreement at any time by closing your account. Please provide 30 days' written notice to hello@lesso.app to allow us to manage existing subscriber access.

We may terminate your account immediately for serious breaches (fraud, illegal content). For other breaches, we will provide written notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy the issue.

On termination, existing subscribers retain access to your content until the end of their current billing period. After that, access is revoked. You may request full deletion of your content after all subscriber access has expired. Earnings already transferred to your Stripe account at the time of termination remain yours and are paid out by Stripe on the configured payout schedule, subject to the refunds, chargebacks and fraud clause above.
