The agreement between you and Lesso covering all users of the platform.

Lesso ("we", "us", "our") is a text-based course hosting platform that enables creators to publish written courses with integrated community discussion, and learners to subscribe to access that content. These Terms of Service govern your use of lesso.app and all associated services.
By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
You must be at least 16 years old to create a learner account. You must be at least 18 years old to create courses or join the affiliate programme. By using the platform, you represent that you meet these age requirements.
You must provide your real name and a valid email address. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for all activity under your account.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must notify us immediately at hello@lesso.app if you believe your account has been compromised. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorised access to your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or cause harm to the platform or its users.
Course access is provided on a recurring monthly subscription basis. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the price stated at time of subscription.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or via the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period.

Your subscription grants you personal, non-transferable access to the specific course(s) you subscribe to. You may not share your login credentials or access content on behalf of others.
You agree to follow our Community Guidelines in all discussion areas. We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these guidelines. You retain ownership of content you post but grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display it on the platform.
We make no guarantee of educational outcomes. Course content represents the views of the creator, not Lesso. We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any course content.
Lesso retains 15% of gross subscription revenue. Creators receive 85%. Payouts are processed manually on a monthly basis, within 30 days of month end, provided your balance exceeds $50. Balances below $50 roll over to the following month.

You retain full intellectual property ownership of your course content. By publishing on Lesso, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, distribute, and promote your content for the purpose of operating the platform and marketing it to potential learners and creators.
You must not publish content that: infringes third-party intellectual property rights; is plagiarised; makes false or misleading claims; is illegal; or violates our Acceptable Use Policy. We reserve the right to remove non-compliant content without notice.
You are an independent contractor, not an employee. You are solely responsible for your own tax obligations arising from earnings on the platform.
On account termination, you may request removal of your content. We will remove public access within 30 days, subject to existing subscribers' access rights during their current billing period.
Affiliates earn a share of Lesso's platform revenue from creators they refer. Commission is paid for as long as the referred creator maintains an active account with at least one published course generating revenue. See our Affiliate Agreement for the full commission structure and worked examples.
Affiliates must comply with UK ASA/CAP advertising guidelines and clearly disclose their commercial relationship when promoting the platform. Prohibited methods include spam, misleading earnings claims, brand-term bidding in paid ads, and fraudulent attribution.
Fraudulent referrals result in immediate account termination and forfeiture of all unpaid commissions.
Lesso owns all platform intellectual property including branding, code, design, and trademarks. Nothing in these Terms transfers that ownership to you.
To report a copyright infringement under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, email hello@lesso.app with details of the infringement and your contact information.
The platform is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, specific educational outcomes, or the quality of creator content.
Our total liability to you arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amounts you paid to (or received from) us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We exclude all liability for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages to the fullest extent permitted by English law. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of material changes by email. Continued use of the platform after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall first be subject to good-faith informal resolution. If unresolved, they shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Lesso regarding your use of the platform.
